Verse 8: The shepherds were in the proper place of duty. If they weren’t doing what was required when required, they wouldn’t have been the ones visited by the angel and all of the others.

Verse 17: After seeing the Lord, the shepherds went telling everyone, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. It’s okay not to act, but you better think about it often, but once you hear the word to move, you better move.

Verse 24: Two pigeons or turtledoves was the least requirement for a sacrifice. Mary and Joseph were poor. When you feel like you are lost, confused, and no longer can do it yourself, you are exactly where God needs you to be.

Verse 25: When you lose your spirit and don’t take it on yourself to keep pushing, you will be in a position to hear and be led by the Holy Spirit.

Verse 34: Jesus was destined to cause many to fall but be a joy to many others. You can’t please everyone. It’s best if you did what you know is right.

Verse 37: Fasting should be for worship, not for self-gain. If you don’t eat due to selfish gain, you will no be fulfilled, no matter the outcome.

Verse 46: At age 12, Jesus was listening and asking questions which then they were amazed at his understanding and answers. Listening and asking questions are needed for amazing results.

Verse 49: “I must be in my Father’s house.” You should know that including God in all things is a must.
